Thank you so much to everyone taking part in our event this year and congratulations to everyone who completed their virtual 5k!
It’s such a shame we couldn’t be together in the traditional sense (everyone in the same place at the same time, on the same day!), but it’s been fantastic to be able to hold the event in the virtual world and for our community still to be able to connect with each other!

Although we didn’t focus on winning times this year (due to everyone running their own routes) we do want to say huge congratulations to those who logged the fastest times:

We also want to give a particular shout out to Willow B, our #UniqueFeet competitor, who finds walking very difficult due to a rare genetic condition. She took on the challenge to carry out the walk with her mum over a series of days to help encourage the family to get out and about after COVID shielding had paused.
This has been such a lovely benefit of the event having been virtual this year!
We’ve also had participants joining from far afield, and have had #ShelfordSelfie posts shared from Wales and Austria!
Perhaps something for us to think about, to make future events more incluisve?
