Just 2 weeks to go!

Sunday 29 Sept 2024!

If you haven’t already signed up for the Shelford Fun Run 5k race and family friendly fun run/walk – don’t delay it’s only 2 weeks away!

We can’t take new entries on the day so you need to sign up in advance. The sign up system will close on Friday 27th (if not before if we sell out like we did in 2023 & 24!)

The fast and flat #ShelfordFunRun is a measured 5k course on closed roads through the villages of Great and Little Shelford in Cambridgeshire.

The UKA registered 5k race and 5k fun run & walk are both chip timed and will set off in separate waves on the same course.

For serious runners it’s a great chance to register your personal best.

For beginners and family groups the event is perfect for jogging or walking at your own pace, enjoying the beautiful villages car free and savouring the atmosphere.

If you have signed up, look out for an email from our registration & chip timing partner Sublime Timing a few days before the event.

This year we have more capacity in the 5k than ever before, so with support from Great Shelford Parish Council, you will find more activities and refreshments in the race village too! From bouncy castles to a duck race on the river, as well as the…

…by inclusive sport champions, Power2Inspire.  The inclusive Super Sensory 1k (SS1k) will run parallel with the 5k, as a separate circuit of five ‘sense stations’ around the rec. Fun for all ages and abilities, this will be free to enter, but to help with numbers planning please visit Power 2 Inpsire to register for this separately.

Charity Beneficiaries

Your entry fees will be split equally between our fabulous local co-host charities. To mark your achievement, it’s also super easy to set up your own fundraising page to help raise additional much needed funds in sponsorship for either, or both, of our charities.
